U.S. climate forecasters have dramatically raised the odds that El Niño will continue — and even intensify — through the fall, and perhaps through the end of the year
El Niño is a climate cycle that can alter weather patterns from East Africa to Florida and, on Thursday, the Climate Prediction Center (CPC) said there is now about a 90% chance that it will continue through the summer, and a greater than 80% chance that it will last the rest of the year
