The Olympic rings from the Sydney Olympic Games in the year 2000 have sold on eBay for more than A$21,000.
As the high of the Australian Games came to an end, the iconic rings that adorned the Sydney Harbour Bridge were shipped back to where they were built — a factory in the New South Wales country town of Goulburn. The rings sat in an abandoned shed on the property for 15 years, until Bernard Maas purchased the factory recently.
The smart-thinking local businessman told Mashable Australia it was a lucky find: "They were moved inside an empty building, and I bought the building and the rings were in it." Read more...
