'I will never be the same': Victims' families speak to Charleston shooter

CHARLESTON— The man accused of murdering nine black people inside the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina on Wednesday was led into a small box of a room for his first public appearance since his arrest

Dylann Roof didn't say much at his bond hearing Thursday afternoon, but family members of his victims did. They spoke of their wrenching pain and loss, but some also forgave him, all while watching the 21-year-old through a window in a separate room

"You have killed some of the most beautiful people I have known," Alicia Sanders, mother of Tywanza Sanders, one of the people Roof killed, said during the bond hearing"Every fiber of my body hurts, and I will never be the same." Read more...
