When asked about the cosmological significance of Zayn Malik leaving One Direction during his hologram appearance at the Sydney Opera House, Hawking deadpanned, "Finally, a question about something important."
The physicist went on to recommend that heartbroken tweens go into the field of theoretical physics, because proving the existence of parallel universes could uncover a world in which Zayn never parted ways with Harry, Liam, Niall and Louis.
