Mom dons son's cap and gown to accept his diploma after fatal car crash

Among the hundreds of graduates at Thornton Fractional North High School in Chicago, Illinois, on May 20 was a mom who honored her son by accepting his diploma.

Katherine Jackson's son, Aaron Dunigan, a quarterback set to attend Southern Illinois University in the fall, was killed in a car crash on his way home from prom over the weekend

The car Dunigan was riding in had crossed a median in south suburban Chicago and was hit by an oncoming truck. The 56-year-old truck driver, Juan Rivera, was also killed in the crash. Another student, Mike Crowter, was also in the car, sustaining severe injuries, and the driver, David Peden, has been charged with a DUI. Read more...
