Vox Media has acquired Re/code, the tech news website started by veteran journalists Kara Swisher and Walt Mossberg
The site began around 18 months ago after Swisher and Mossberg left the Wall Street Journal, at which they had built All Things D into a destination for tech news while also creating a successful event business
Re/code had launched under a similar model, but chatter in the tech media world had said that the site — while publishing some of the most talented journalist in the business — had struggled to generate much web traffic
